Six students from the Acosta Danza Academy were laureates this Sunday, April 9, in the contest of the 28th International Meeting of Academies for the Teaching of Ballet, held in Havana.
The youngsters Alejandro Figueredo (in the intermediate classic category), Edgar Quintero (in the intermediate contemporary category) and Ernesto Brallant (in the advanced contemporary category) won the gold medal.
Silver medals were won by: María del Carmen Pantoja (in the intermediate contemporary category), Noel Sánchez (in the intermediate contemporary category) and Anthony Quevedo (in the advanced contemporary category).
The prizes were awarded on the afternoon of this Sunday, April 9, at the laureates’ gala that was dedicated to the Principal Dancer and general director of Acosta Danza, Carlos Acosta.
