Four students from the Acosta Danza Academy, directed by the first dancer Carlos Acosta, were awarded at the XXIX International Meeting of Academies for Ballet Teaching, recently held in Havana.
The students who are in the 2nd year of our academy competed in the International Choreographic Competition. In the Contemporary Solos Modality, Second Category, Marhia Karla Frías Larrosa, was awarded the first prize for her work “Plinc”; Edgar Quintero Zayas won second prize for the solo “Epifanía”, while Anthony Quevedo Silot won the third prize for “Ataraxia”.
In the Contemporary Collective modality, second category, the first prize went to the student Ernesto Brallant Muñoz Martínez for the choreography “Sentido”.
All these distinctions were shared.
