Acosta Danza has been nominated, along with four other companies, as Best Mid-scale Company for the National Awards given each year by the dance section of the UK Performing Arts Critics' Circle.
Carlos Acosta is nominated in the Outstanding Creative Contribution category for the concept of the show "Black Sabbath_The Ballet", created for the Birmingham Royal Ballet, a company that the Cuban dancer also directs.
The nominations for the United Kingdom National Dance Award include the best dance shows that have been presented on stages in that country, between January 1 and December 31, 2023.
The winners will be announced at a live ceremony, which will be held at The Coronet Theater in London, on Monday 3 June.
