Acosta Danza will perform on October 30 and 31 at the Auditorium of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands of Spain, with a program called "Evolution" that includes recognized works of its repertoire.
The public that attends these presentations will enjoy the choreographies "Satori", by Raúl Reinoso, in which it’s talk about the search for spiritual enlightenment and take the precepts of Zen Buddhism as a starting point; "Paysage, soudain, la nuit", by the Swedish Pontus Lidberg, inspired by a musical piece by the Cuban master Leo Brouwer.
You can also see "Impronta", a solo created by the Spanish María Rovira in which contemporary dance and Afro-Cuban dances merge. The show concludes with "Twelve", by the Spanish Jorge Crecis, a "dance installation", which is based on sports and mathematics, among other sciences.
These presentations are part of the current tour that the Cuban company is offering in Spain. The next performances are already announced in the following venues: Teatro Principal de Alicante (November 18): Gran Teatro de Córdoba (November 19) Breton Theater in Logroño (November 21); Principal Theater of Vitoria (November 23); Arriaga Theater in Bilbao (26 and 27); Tarrasa Auditorium (December 4 and 5); Cervantes Theater in Malaga (December 7) and Baluarte Theater in Pamplona (December 10).
